(a) The High Commission and Consulate General attests document such as POWER OF ATTORNEY (POA) OR AFFIDAVIT prepared and presented by Pakistani Nationals in Australia. Other Business Documents of Australian Institutions / Departments / Companies are also attested provided they are duly verified / attested by DFAT.
Pakistani Nationals and others while sending their documents to High Commission/Consulate General may kindly ensure following:-
· An applicant desiring the attestation of POA or affidavit person residing, should personally come to the High Commission or Consulate and sign the power of attorney in front of relevant officials. The applicant must bring original official photo-bearing ID like NICOP/CNIC and passport for identification purposes.
· The POA or affidavit should be signed by two witnesses and the copies of ID of witnesses must be enclosed.
· In case, Pakistani ID like passport/NICOP/CNIC can not be produced, the POA/Affidavit should be submitted after attestation by DFAT before submitting to High Commission/Consulate.
· In exceptional cases where applicant can not personally visit High Commission or Consulate, the document must be first attested by DFAT and High Commission or Consulate would attest DFAT's signature/ seal.
· In case the documents are from Pakistan, the same should first be got attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad or its Camp Offices at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar & Quetta.

Note: Attestation fee mentioned above is for each page that needs to be attested i.e. Stamped and signed.
(b) Driving License
when applicant comes personally for signing,attestation by JP of his/her signiture is not required.
In case of Pakistani Driving License, they should first be verified from the license issuing authorities in Pakistan by obtaining a NOC / Verification letter from them and thereafter have them attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad or its Camp Offices at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar & Quetta and thereafter sent to this High Commission for attestation in original. In addition attested photocopies of the Pakistani driving license, passport, CNIC / NICOP & requisite attestation fee should also be send.
Applicants desiring to have letter of authenticity of the license or requesting confirmation of name as appearing in license etc must also fill the statuary declaration signed by Notary Public or J.P. and submit the same to the High Commission or Consulate in original. This declaration would be enclosed in the letter addressed to the relevant RTA .
Licence and Declaration form to accompany any request relating to Pakistan driving License(c) In case of Pakistan Government Retired Officers/Officials their Pensions Bills will be attested free of charge. Before sending them to High Commission the Pension Bills should be got attested for Justice of Peace or Notary Public certifying that the pensioner is ALIVE.
