2. Unprecedented floods have caused tragic loss of human lives and colossal damage to crops, livestock, houses and physical infrastructure in the country. More than 1700 people have lost their lives and 20 million have been displaced. The Government of Pakistan has mobilized all resources at its disposal and has launched a full fledged rescue and relief operations in the affected areas.
To coordinate flood relief assistance , an Emergency Cell,has been established in Islamabad. For all relief/assistance related communications, in Pakistan contact:-
