The High Commission for Pakistan in Canberra has initiated a process for registration of Pakistani students who could not travel to Australia due to Covid-19 restrictions and consequent lock down such as:

i. Students who either got admission in any of the Australian Universities and were granted visas by the Australian High Commission in Islamabad

ii. those who were already studying in Australia and travelled to Pakistan but were stranded there due to Covid-19 related restrictions and subsequent lockdown.

Such students are requested to register themselves on the link given below and also share it with other students who intend to travel to Australia: –

The registration will help this High Commission to ascertain the number of students intending to travel to Australia for the purpose of drawing attention of the Australian authorities towards this issue.

Please note that the border lockdown is a policy decision by the Australian Government. The High Commission for Pakistan will do its best advocacy with the Australian Government to allow Pakistani students to travel to Australia. This would, however, also largely depend on the overall policy of the Australian government with regard to allowing international students to travel to Australia. Therefore, this High Commission is unable to specify any timeframe in this regard at the moment.
